Unform Experiences collaborated with the British Red Cross to create Rania’s Journey, a powerful immersive VR training film designed to support gender-based violence (GBV) training and advocacy. Set in Iraq, the experience follows the story of Rania, a survivor navigating the complex personal and social impacts of GBV, told from a survivor-centered perspective.
Created in both Arabic and English, the VR film offers humanitarian workers and stakeholders a narrative-led experience that highlights key moments in Rania’s journey and the impact of those around her, framed through a survivor-centered approach.
The project was awarded the Humanitarian Innovation Fund 2024–25 by ELRHA and is currently being piloted by the Red Cross in Iraq, where it is used in training contexts to raise awareness, enhance traditional training and increase engagement practices.
